Data Management Policy

Service scope: Data Services

Effective date: April 1st, 2026

Last updated: April 1st, 2026

Brief summary

This Data Management Policy explains how M-Mobile manages mobile data usage for consumer-facing data services, including allotment-based speed management, temporary congestion controls, network integrity measures, security controls, and disclosures related to host-carrier and partner-network practices.

M-Mobile’s data management practices are intended to support service continuity, fair access to network resources, network protection, compliance, and customer experience. Where reasonably possible, these practices are designed to be transparent, proportionate, and content-neutral.

Some plans may include a stated amount of high-speed data followed by continued reduced-speed data for the remainder of the plan term. When this applies, the reduced-speed treatment applies to the affected mobile data service as a whole and does not favor or disadvantage specific lawful applications, websites, or content.

Because M-Mobile services may operate through host carriers and network partners in Canada and internationally, performance, latency, technology availability, coverage, and local network practices may vary by destination, device, partner network, and local conditions.
